1. Porifera is having cellular level of organization means based on cell.
2. Canal system is present in it.
3. It's central cavity is known as Paragastric cavity.
4. Osculum is the terminal aperture.
5. Choanocytes are special cells.
6. Ostia or inhalent pores present in the body wall.
7. Muscles, nerve cells and sensory cells are absent.
8. Asexual reproduction takes place by budding and gemmule formation. 9.Animals belonging to this phylum are sessile, fixed and plant like commonly known as sponges.
For Example - Sycon, Euspongia ( Bath Sponge)
