Can anyone give me some examples of Mass and Weight ?

The term "mass" is used to refer to the amount of matter in any given object. For instance, a person or object may be weightless on the moon because of the lack of gravity, but that same person or object maintains the same mass regardless of location.

A spring scale measures the "weight" of an object. The unit of measurement for weight is that of force, which in the International System of Units (SI) is the newton. For example, an object with a mass of one kilogram has a weight of about 9.8 newtons on the surface of the Earth, and about one-sixth as much on the Moon.
