 {\huge {\mathfrak {Answer :-}}}

This is the symbol

known as " PI ".

_________________

We know an formulae,

" Circumference = 2 × pi × radius "

Now , 2 × radius = diameter.

Thus, Circumference = pi × diameter

Or, pi = Circumference / diameter

Or, pi = Circumference : diameter .

So, " PI " can be defined as the ratio of the Circumference of a circle to its diameter.

The general value of " PI " is

= 22/7

= 3.14159....

Note : Pi an irrational number so, we cannot say its exact value.

" Pi " is an Greek letter which now-a-days is used in various numericals of physics and maths.

 \pi

Here's a brief history of finding π.

The ancient Babylonians calculated the area of a circle by taking 3 times the square of its radius, which gave a value of pi π

The first calculation of π was done by Archimedes of Syracuse (287–212 BC), one of the greatest mathematicians of the ancient world.
