First we take a perpendicular , 180° - angle D + 90° = angle DMY (Y is the variable chosen)

Same, we do 180° - angle B + 90° = angle BMZ(Z is the variable chosen) , Angle Y + Angle Z + 180° is angle x.

Value of x is 285°.

1st construct line passing through x and parallel to AB & CD,

then,

let , one angle of x = a and other angle of x as b

so,

a + 40° = 180° ( being co - interior angle )

a = 180 - 40

a = 140 °

And,

b + 35° = 180°

b= 180 -35

b = 145 °

Hence,

x = a + b

x = 140 ° + 145 °

x = 285 ° answered
