Can anyone please give me definition of events in probability and its types.

The set of all possible outcomes of a random experiment is called as sample space. Events in probability are subsets of sample space. Events are denoted by capital letters A,B,C....X,Y,Z. The number of elements in an event is given by n (A). Certain event, impossible event, elementary event, complimentary event, mutually exclusive events and exhaustive events are types of events.
