Can anyone please give the difference between scalar and vector quantity.

Scalar Quantity : Any quantity which is completely defined by magnitude only, is called Scalar quantity.

Eg : Length, Time, Distance etc.

Vector Quantity : Any quantity which is completely defined by magnitude and direction both, is called Vector quantity.

Eg : Displacement, Velocity, Force, Acceleration etc.
