A room is 6 m long 4.5 m broad and 3 m high. Find the cost of white washing its four walls at the rate of 12 per sq. metre. Also find the cost of laying the stone slab on the floor at 48 per sq. metre.

Answer :-

Length = 6m

Breadth = 4.5 m

hight = 3m

*For finding the cost of white washing its four walls at the rate of 12 per sq. metre*

Area = 2h( l+b)

=> 2( 6 + 4.5) *3

=> 63 sq.metre

The Cost of whitewashing is Rs.12 per sq. metre

Therefore, the cost of whitewashing 4 walls = 63 × 12

=> Rs.756

*For finding the cost of *For finding the cost of laying the stone slab on the floor at 48 per sq. metre**

Area = l×b

=> 6 × 4.5

=>27 sq.metre

The cost of laying the stone slab on the floor is 48 per sq. metre

Therefore, The cost of laying stone slab = 48 × 27

=>Rs.1,296
