First, we need to make the denominators the same for all, so then we can compare the numerators and find the order.

So to do this, first we find the lowest common multiple (LCM) of all the denominators - 5,7,10.

70 is the lowest number that is divisible by all the three, so it is the LCM.

Then we convert all the denominators to this number, by multiplying a number by both the numerator and denominator, so that the denominator is 70.

∴ 1/5 (both ×14) = 14/70

  3/7 (both ×10) = 30/70

  7/10 (both ×7) = 49/70

So now the fractions are 14/70, 30/70, 49/70

Now we should compare the numerator values, 14, 30, 49.

These in descending value are 49, 30, 14.

So, the fractions in descending order are  49/70, 30/70, 14/70.

∴ The order is 7/10, 3/7, 1/5.

Answer:

1/5 = 0.2,

3/7= 0.4

and

7/10 = 0.7

Step-by-step explanation:

asscending

1/5 = 0.2 < 3/7= 0.4 < 7/10 = 0.7

descending order

7/10 = 0.7 > 3/7= 0.4. > 1/5 = 0.2

7/10 > 3/7 > 1/5
