Alkynes is the part of unsaturated hydrocarbons. It is that part of unsaturated hydrocarbons in which triple bond is present.

Now, carbon is tetra valent so

In ethyne three unfilled shell will be filled with triple bond and only one will be left for hydrogen both the sides
