Can anyone plse tell me what is difference between oxidizing agent and reducing agent and difference between oxidized and reduced element.... PLSE PLSE ANYONE EXPLAIN ME BY GIVING EXAMPLES

oxidation- addition of oxygen or removal of Hydrogen
reduction - addition of hydrogen or removal of oxygen
oxidising agents - the substance which give oxygen or removes hydrogen
reducing agent - the substance which gives hydrogen or removes oxygen
eg
CuO + H ydrogen ....gives water + Cu
hydrogen us oxidised to water
CuO is oxidising agent
hydrogen is reducing agent
