Can anyone plsss explain this in simple sentence In English??
"Britain's trade surplus in India also helped pay the so called 'home charges' that included private remittances home by British officials and traders, interest payments on India's external debt, and pensions of British officials in India."

Britain's increase in trade in India helped the Britishers living in India to pay for their private remittances,interest on India's external debt(karz) and also pensions of British official living in India.Hope it helps!
