After the passage of electricity the impurities settles down in the electrolytic tank as they may be heavier
The are not discharged at cathode and thus at cathode pure metal is deposited..

Krushangi2003: ??
albert9: when electricity is passed the pure particles frm cathode do not go to anode as pure metal is kept there
albert9: at cathode
Krushangi2003: no
albert9: oky thanks
albert9: it means alot to me taht u helped me
albert9: thanks bro
Krushangi2003: anytime..
albert9: bro can u explain me that what this sentence meanspure metal frm anode passes into the solution inthe form of metal ions and an equivalent amount of metal ions frm solution are deposited as pure metal on the cathode
albert9: plz
