Basic Formulas

By using a right-angled triangle as a reference,

the trigonometric functions or identities are derived: sin θ = Opposite Side/Hypotenuse. cos θ = Adjacent Side/Hypotenuse. tan θ = Opposite Side/Adjacent Side.
