Answer:

Given data

1). (3,-1)

To plot the point (3,-1)

Here as we know

When the value of a point is given in Co-ordinates

First value is x-coordinate and second one is y- coordinate

So here we have the x-coordinate = 3

The Y-coordinate = - 1

As I have explained about quadrant in step by step explanation.

So according to that our first point values are (3,-1)

X is positive and y is negative

So this point would be in 4th quadrant.

2) (-2,-3)

X is negative and y is also negative

So this point would be in 3rd quadrant

3)(2,4)

X is positive and y is also positive

So this point would be in 1st quadrant.

4)(9,0)

In this we have only the value of x coordinate so the point would be on x-axis .

5)(0,-2)

In this we have only the value of y coordinate so the point would be on y-axis.

For plotting the points on graph first take a suitable scale the make number of divisions on x-axis and y-axis.

For example - 1cm = 1 division or unit.

1) (3,-1)

Start at the Origin. Move 3 units to the right along the x-axis. Then return and move 1 units down parallel to Y-axis and mark the point (3,-1).

2) (-2,3)

Start at the Origin. Move 2 units to the left along the

X-axis. Then return and 3 units up parallel to Y-axis and mark the point (-2,3)

3) (2,4)

Starts at the Origin. Move 2 units to the right along the x-axis. The return and move 4 units up parallel to Y-axis and mark the point (2,4)

4) (9,0)

Starts at the Origin. Move 9 units to the right along the x-axis. Or we can say on x-axis because value of Y-coordinate is zero.

5) (0,-2)

Starts at the Origin. Move 2 units down parallel to y-axis or on y-axis because value of x-coordinate is zero.

This is the answer of your question. In case of any doubt you can ask in comment section.

Step-by-step explanation:

As we know we have 4 quadrants which are as followed

1st quadrant - > both the values of x and y coordinate are +ve. (+, +)

2nd Quadrant -> value of x coordinate is - ve and value of y coordinate is +ve. (-, +)

3rd quadrant - > both the values of x and y coordinate are - ve. (-, -)

4th quadrant - > value of x coordinate is +ve and value of y coordinate is - ve. (+, -)
