Here, in these two above given questions, the solutions can appear little bit complicated, but i will try not to make them excessively complicated.

SOLUTION TO QUESTION 5 (b)

$( {4}^{- 1} \div {7}^{ - 1} )^{ - 2}$

$= ( \frac{1}{4} \div \frac{1}{7})^{ - 2}$

$= (\frac{7}{4})^{ - 2}$

$= ( \frac{4}{7} )^{2}$

$= \frac{16}{49}$

SOLUTION TO QUESTION 6

${4}^{2x + 5} = 64$

${4}^{2x + 5} = {4}^{3}$

$2x + 5 = 3$

$x = - 1$
