No it is not a polynomial because the variable 'x' is not having an whole no. power and also, in a polynomial a variable cannot be a denominator and under root

it is a second degree polynomial. as after simplification the equation becomes ---. X^2+4x+0. which is a polynomial . we use law of indicices to equate the middle (4x , term) 4 {X^(3/2) /X^(1/2)}....
by law of indicices. 4 X^[(3/2)-(1/2)]....
