1.atoms nor be created or distroyed in chemical reaction they are just rearranged from the reactant to form products this is the reason.why symbol equation must be balanced.but if the chemical equation happened in an open system then the mass appear may change.

2). 2Mg +O2. =2MgO

2*24=2(24+16)

48g of Mg gives 80g of MgO

so,24g of Mg will gives 24*80/48 MgO

= 40 g of MgO

3.)mass can never be created nor be destroyed in a chemical reaction because of the law of conservation of mass in which no of reactants is equal to no of products take place during a chemical reaction
