Step-by-step explanation:

See there are a lot of methods, and the simplest is:-

  • Take LCM of denominators
  • Then make denominators same
  • Then multiply both the numerator and denominator by 10/100/1000/10000....., As much as u want
  • Then write the rational numbers between them

Lets look at ur Question

 -  \frac{1}{2}  \:  \: and \:  \frac{1}{ 3}

Lcm of 3 and 2=6

Make denominators same

 -  \frac{1}{2}  \times    \frac{3}{ 3}  \:  \:  \:an d \:  \frac{1}{3}  \times  \frac{2}{2}

 \frac{ - 3}{6}  \:  \:  \: and \frac{2}{6}

Then the reqd rational numbers are :-

 \frac{ - 2}{6}  \:  \:  \frac{ - 1}{6}   \:  \:  \: 0 \:  \:  \:  \frac{1}{6}  \:  \:  \:  \frac{2}{6}

If u r not getting all the reqd no then follow the 2nd last step by multiplying numerator and denominator by 10 /100...etc as much as u want.
