ok so, the two opposite vertices here are A(-1, 1) and B(5, 3).

first we need to plot this square on a graph sheet.

since i don't have a graph sheet here so doing it just like this:

                      -6  -5   -4   -3   -2    -1    0     1      2    3    4    5    6

                                                            -1

so the other two vertices will be C(-1, 3) and D(5, 1).

i am plotting them on the above graph only cause it took a hella lotta time to make it.

so now, to find the equation of diagonal CD, we need to find the slope of the line.

m= (y2 - y1)/ (x2 - x1)

m= (1- 3)/ (5+ 1)

m= -2/6

m= -1/3

so equation of the line is y= mx+ b

y= -1/3x+8/3
