Hii

Your answer,

Area of right angled triangle =hieght*base/2

54=(x+9)(2x+3)/2

108==2x²+3x+18x+27

108=2x²+21x+27

108-27=2x²+21x

81=2x²+21x

0=2x²+21x-81

0=2x²+(27-6)x-81

0=2x²+27x-6x-81

0=x(2x+27)-3(2+27)

0=(x-3)(2x+27)

Then

x=3 or x=-27/2

Taking positive value

x=3

Two sides=x+9=3+9=12cm

And 2x+3=6+3=9cm

By Pythagoras theorem

Hypotenuse =√(144+81)=√225=15

Perimeter =12+9+15=36cm

8b) - longest in right angled triangle is hypotenuse(5x) and let the shortest side be base(3x)

Then the ratio=3x/5x

By Pythagoras theorem

Hieght =4x

Then the perimeter =36cm

4x+3x+5x=36

12x=36

x=36/12

x=3

Then sides are 3*3=9

4*3=12

5*3=15

Then sides are =15,12,9

15 is hypotenuse

Then.

Area =base*hieght/2

Area =12*9/2

Area =6*9

Area of triangle =54cm²
