Question :

In a room there were males and females. If there are 3/2 males how many womens are there in when the room contains 30 persons.

To find :

The number of womens

Given Data :

  • Total no. of persons = 30

  • Males = 3/2

Solution :

Fraction of males in the room = 3/2

Ratio = 3 + 2 = 5

 \sf \small Number  \: of  \: males  =  \frac{3}{5}  \times30

 \sf \small so \: there \: were \: 18 \: males

So now,

Women = total number of persons - no of males

Women = 30 - 18 = 12

  • Therefore no of women is 12
