Hey!

Thylakoids :-

Thylakoids are mainly present in chloroplast and in cyanobacteria. They are membrane - bound compartments in which numerous organelles of leaves collect and work together to produce energy. Thylakoids are also known for holding chlorophyll which trap sunlight and perform biochemical reactions and thylakoids are generally in an appearance of sheets.

Hey Friend,

Thylakoids are tiny compartments found inside a chloroplast.
Their main function is that they help in absorbing sunlight in order for photosynthesis to take place.

Thylakoids contain chlorophyll which absorb energy from sun in the form of photons and hence they are called the site for light dependent reaction in photosynthesis.

Thylakoid is a membrane bound organelle and are found in stacks called grana.

Hope it helps!
