iv) 0.2x + 0.3y = 1.3...(i)
0.4x + 0.5y = 2.3.....(ii)
Multiply eq.(i) by '2'
0.4x + 0.6y = 2.6
0.4x + 0.5y = 2.3
Subtract above 2 equations:
0.1y = 0.3
y = 3..
Substitute 'y' in (i)
0.2x + 0.9 = 1.3
0.2x = 0.4
x = 2
vi) 3x/2 - 5y/3 = -2...(i)
x/3 + y/2 = 13/6....(ii)
Taking lcm in eq.(i)
9x - 10y = -12...(iii)
Taking lcm in eq.(ii)
2x + 3y = 13...(iv)
Eq.(iii) multiplied by '2' and eq.(iv) multiplied by '9'
(iii)==== 18x - 20y = -24
(iv)==== 18x + 27y = 117
(iv) - (iii)== 47y = 141
y=3...
Sub the value of 'y' in (iii)
9x - 10y = -12
9x - 30 = -12
9x = 18
x = 2
