Dear friend,

The garden is made up of a rectangle and two semi-circles.

First we have to find the area of the rectangle,

= Length × Breadth

= [20-2(3.5)] × 7 m^2

= [20-7] × 7 m^2

= 13 × 7 m^2

= 91 m^2

Then area of the two semi-circles,

Radius = 7÷2 = 3.5

= 1/2×π×(r)^2

= 1/2×22/7×(3.5)^2

= 19.25 m^2

= 19.25 × 2 m^2

= 38.5 m^2

Total area = 91 + 38.5 m^2 = 129.5 m^2

Now total perimeter,

= 2(length + πr)

= 2(13 + π3.5)

= 2(13 + 22/7×3.5)

= 2(13 + 11)

= 2×24

= 48 m

Answer:

(i) Total area of park = 129.5 m^2

(ii) Total perimeter of park = 48 m

Hope it helps !!!

area of rectangular shape = length × breadth

length = [20-(3.5+3.5)]m , breadth = 7m

area = 20-(3.5+3.5) × 7 m²

area = 20-7 × 7 m²

area = 13 × 7 m²

area = 91m²-----------------------(1)

Now area of two semi circles = ½πr²

r = 7/2m

area = (1/2 × 22/7 × 7/2 × 7/2)2

area = (1/2 × 11 × 7/2)2

area = (7/4×11)2

area = (77/4)2

area = (19.25)2

area = 38.5m²---------------------(2)

area of garden is equation--(1) + equation--(2)

area of garden = 91m²+38.5m²

area of garden = 129.5m²

perimeter of garden = 2(length+πr)

perimeter = 2(13+22/7×3.5)

perimeter = 2(13+11)

perimeter = 2(24)

perimeter = 48m²

hope it helps you.......❤️❤️❤️
