In simple words,

The repetition of consonant sounds in a line is called Alliteration.

For eg :-

1) I gazed and gazed but little thought. ( in this line, the letter 'g' is repeated )
2) Like her bridal laughter and bridal tear ( in this line, the letter 'b' is repeated)

Sentences having the repetition of consonant sounds indicate the figure of speech 'Alliteration'.
