'Did' is the simple past tense of the verb 'do' and 'have done' is the present perfect tense.

Whenever you refer to any event that has occurred in the past, you use simple past tense to describe it. It only states that the action was performed by someone in the past.

You use present perfect tense to showcase that the action you are referring to is done in the present and that the Action is now completed. This means that the action began in the near past and is completed in the present.

So in a way simple past signifies the doing of an action in the past whereas present perfect represents its completion in the present.

Hope it helps you..

HAVE :

So , basically have is used where you show that you possess a particular thing . Have is used at a place where you show someone that a particular thing , lets say a pen belongs to you or you are carrying that pen . At that place , you will say I am having my pen . Its shows that you own a particular thing about which you are taking i.e. The object .

EXAMPLE :

Lets take another example :

◎I have a toffee in my bag .

Here :

You are owning a toffee that is in your bag .

DID :

Did is the past of do , used at places to show that you have had completed a particular work in the past.

FOR EXAMPLE :

I did my homework yesterday

Here : you got a homework , which was completed by you yesterday (past ) .
