An apple a day keeps a doctor away.......if you had eaten apple ever in your life then you have noticed that if you have taken a bite from Apple and then you don't want to eat anymore...then after some time that apple will turn brownish in colour..this is due to oxidation of apple on contact with air....this is rancidity.
