therefore x+y=3x-2y or 2x-3y = 0.....(1)

similarly x+7 = y+8 or x-y = 1.....(2)

solving (1) and (2)

x=3 and y=2

hence the length of the rectangle is x+y= 3+2

i.e length is 5 units

breadth of rectangle is x+7 = 3+7

i.e breadth is 10 units
