can anyone tell why we wash the residue of Crystals of Cu after final filteration, with ethyl alcohol + cold water mixture , in the crystallization of Cu!
why it takes such a long time to form the pure n solid form of Cu crystals ?

Water can dissolve inorganic solvents while ethanol can dissolve organic solvent.

Crystallization is a very slow process because various smaller units have to collide and interact with each other. There are many factors involved such as frequency of collision and alignment.
