In one of the class activity, we were asked to share a story of something we are proud of doing. Maha told us a very motivating story.
She told us, that when she was growing up, she used to see a lot of things being accumulated at the end of the street. That accumulation continued to increase day by day. She asked from her father what was that, her father told her that was garbage but she could not get it.
Then, one day she went closer to that accumulation, she could see used equipment, half eaten things, broken jewelry pieces, paper, cardboard, tins etc. but there was so much nuisance that she could barely stand near it.
She started to think about it as a resource and the reuse perspective. Next day she went to the garbage again with some of her friends. They extracted the useful things out of it and put the remaining organics in bags for composting and cleaned that area.
Next day when people woke up, they were surprised to see the street clean.
