I think modern light microscope which is used to seecl cells but I cannot guarantee that atoms could be seen..

We cant see atoms using light because atoms are much much smaller than the wavelength of light. Furthermore modern STEMs can chemically identify atomsbased on how the electron beam deflects through the sample. So not only can we see atoms we can also study their chemistry and physical properties while we look at them!
