Can atoms be seen ? Name the instrument used ?

Yes , by electron microscope.

No , atoms can not be seen because they are small enough to see .We cannot see them with a device of very high magnification power.

Though we are not able to see them. But by various practiple we can understand or observe that an atom can exist as the smallest part of an object.
