can carbon ever have a lone pair , because it's covalency in 4 and has 4 valence electrons ,so for it to have lone pairs no. of bonds should be less than 4 , but then the covalnecy wont be satisfied and not form a bond only , *so my question is can carbons ever have lone pairs ??*
