can copper be used for making fuse .I am asking because it is given in NCERT

The purpose of fuse is to melt itself when a high electric current passes through so as to protect the other electrical appliances....ryt. .

But if we will use copper wire as fuse then it will not easily melt when a high electric current passes through it because it has a high melting point.

Hence we cannot use copper as a fuse..❤❤
