Cracking of your knuckles is a simple phenomenon that is caused mainly as bubbles that are formed on the bone joints are burst forcefully or naturally in the synovial fluid.
Synovial fluid is also known to help in offering lubrication to the bone joints. The moment the bones are pulled apart it causes the bubbles to burst. The action can be created by applying little amount of pressure on the bone joints or fingers.
So the common myth that this action could actually lead to formation of arthritis condition is simply not true. There are till date no evidence of relation between cracking knuckles and arthritis.
