There is a new converter topology called Matrix converter (MC), which is a AC to AC converter, and has no limits on the output frequency and the amplitude (Reference: PWM Techniques for Matrix Converters – Investigations and Applications - Senthil Kumaran M ). It is developing technology and has lots of added features than that of cyclone converter. Since MC can convert any frequency to any frequency, any combination of DC and AC conversion is possible.

Since you need a frequency of 10khz or 50khz, you will have to find a switch for matrix converter, which should have a switching frequency at least twice more than the 50khz, which is possible with Mosfet. But please be aware that Matrix converters are in R&D stage. It is not available as a fully functional product which suites your requirement.

Edit 1: My friend said that at above 400hz usually power transfer is not done. So if your load is minimal above mentioned solution is feasible
