In general any dimension expressed as a vector has positive and negative directions.

In Cartesian coordinate systems the axes are all expressed as having positive and negative directions.

Time has past and future which is often expressed as negative and positive respectively.

In buildings the height above ground is expressed as positive and below ground as negative.

The directions are generally arbitrary and reversible (except perhaps for time) but the potential for directionality seems inherent and possibly intrinsic to dimensionality.

How are you???
