Yes, if the particle move in a straight line.

Example :-
A car is moving with constant speed of 10m/s. Find distance and displacement in 10 seconds.
Ans :-
Speed = 10m/s
Velocity = 10m/s
Time taken = 10 seconds
Distance travelled = Speed×Time
= 10×10
= 100 m
Displacement = Velocity×Time
= 10×10
= 100 m
Here, Distance = Displacement

Hi friend!!

Distance is the total distance covered by the body,while the displacement is the shortest distance covered by the body.

Yes,Distance travelled by an object can be equal to displacement ..when a body travels in a straight line path without turning back then, distance will be equal to displacement.

I hope this will help u ;)
