Hey Friend !
Distance can be zero , when the object is at rest or in other words , is at a stationary position.
But , distance is not always zero even if displacement is zero.
For example :-
If a body is executing a circular motion ,
distance = circumference of the circle.
displacement = shortest distance possible between initial and final position.
Here , the initial position and the final position of the body would be the same.
Hence , displacement = 0
