Can fire be considered as breathing? Fire changes O2 into CO2, and it can not survive in CO2.

Breathing is a characteristic process of living organisms. Since, it is obvious that fire is not a living organism, so it cannot breathe. Moreover breathing is just a part of a more complex process known as respiration. This process is responsible for conversion of O² to CO². Something that catches fire is known to be undergoing combustion and not breathing.
