The non-renewable energy sources are coal, oil and flammable gas.
They can't be made in research facility as it takes a great many years for these powers to shape bit by bit from covered and rotting natural material.
Additionally, petroleum derivatives require high weight and high temperature to shape which can't be created in a lab.
