No, government action alone can't eliminate social evils. We also have to treat others with equal respect to reduce discrimination. We also should not think that one cannot do certain taskes.

• The Correct Answer would be No. The government actions alone can not eliminate social evils, the cooperation of citizens is necessary as well. For example, if the government passes a law against child-marriage, then it won't be able to come into full motion without the support of public. By support, we mean that the law is of no use if the citizens themselves aren't trying to apply a stop on Child-Marriage.
• Secularism means the indifference shown to people who belong to different religions. It means to show respect towards every religion and to live in unity with every religion. India is a Secular Country.

The government actions alone can't eliminate the social evils because it's the public who generates them and not the government, and a thing started by someone can only be stopped by him as well. Therefore, the enforcement of public actions  is necessary as well.
