Gravitational is based on mass ,anything which has mass will attract other masses. So ,you know air has mass. ... Yes, air is making an atmosphere around earth is due to gravity only . Air itself is a part of earth having lowest density .

ITZAARAV: Absolutely correct
pjena0727: Fill the Balloon by light Air. ( hot air) for example Helium or Hydrogen. What will happen? Balloon will go towards to the Sky. Because air inside the balloon is hotter than its around. And Gravity also effects on that but at very less.
ITZAARAV: Nice concept
