Trees reproduce sexually through seeds (female) and pollen (male). Gymnosperms produce a naked seed whereas angiosperms (flowering plants) produce a true seed. Gymnosperms are the non-flowering seed plants such as cedar, pine, redwood, hemlock, and firs.

Hope this helps
