Yes.. humans directly sees photons that's why we can see..

once cannot see any object without detecting quadrillions of photons coming through it.

....

Can humans see a single drop of water in the ocean...

Definitely without detecting each of them we cannot see the whole ocean... but if there was only one drop of water in the large area of land..

our eyes will receive message

but our brain will neglect it... while considering a price tag of 999 we say a thousand rather than nine hundred ninety nine.

same here.. our brain doesn't interprets it even if retina detects the single photon.

And don't assume that every photon of the object you're looking gets detected.. our eyes are imperfect... and have a blind spot too.. where optical nerves exits the eye...

Most of the people know that our eyes provide us a resolution of 576 megapixels...

very few know that it is while moving... when we move our eyes to get a view of the field.. they approximately shows us image of 576 mp....

while standing still like most of digital cameras

Eyes provide a resolution of 5 to 15 mega pixels only

sounds bad.. but is truth...

Enjoy your eyes...

and try detecting a single photon.. All the best : )
