★ NOTE : THE DIAGRAMS ARE GIVEN IN THE ATTACHMENTS. KINDLY REFER TO THEM.

'A piece of supplementary counsel' :-

➡ Different shapes in Animal Cells = The shape of animal cells varies, with some being flat, others oval or rod-shaped. There are also more intriguing shapes such as curved, spherical, concave and rectangular. Most of the cells are microscopic in size and can only be seen under the microscope.

➡ Need for different shapes = Cells have different shapes because they do different things. Animal cells come in many different shapes and sizes. The shapes of cells have evolved to help them carry out their specific function in the body, so looking at a cell's shape can give clues about what it does.

➡ Specialised Animal Cells = Animals also require many different specialized cells in order to function. Some cells must be able to move (like sperm cells), while other cells need to contract (like muscle cells). Three of the many specialized cell types in animals include red blood cells, muscle cells, and skin cells.

➡ Difference between Human cells and Animal cells = The most important difference is size. The volume of a typical human cell is 4,000 times more than the volume of a typical bacterial cell.

Today’s bacterial cells are direct descendants of the prokaryotic cells found in rocks that were formed one billion years after Earth. The eukaryotic cells from which all plants and animals are made didn’t emerge until two-billion years later.

It took the modern eukaryotic cells another one-and-a-half billion years to evolve to the space traveling civilizations of today.

Bacterial cells are tiny scrambled eggs compared to human cells, the vast majority of which are large, complex, and tightly organized protein-making machines.

Probably the second most important difference is in their DNA. Bacterial DNA has very few nucleotides or bases compared to the long strands found in all animal and plant cells.
