Explanation:

Given

  • l || m
  • p || q
  • p and q intersect l and m

To Prove

  • ∆ABC ≅ ∆CDA

Proof

ABCD forms a quadrilateral.

  • If l || m, then AD || BC
  • If p || q, then AB || DC

Quadrilateral ABCD has its opposite sides parallel, So ABCD is a parallelogram.

AB = CD ( Opposite sides of the parallelogram )

BC = DA ( Opposite sides of the parallelogram )

∠B = ∠D ( Opposite angles of the parallelogram)

So, ∆ABC ≅ ∆CDA ( by SAS )
