                                         + Number of years from base * increment

Number of shirts at 12th year

x = 8 + 3 * 12 =  44 shirts

Thus at 12th year i will have 44 shirts.

Part 3:

given x = 56

56 = 8 + 3n

3n = 56 - 8 = 48

n = 48/3 = 16

Thus in 16 th year i will have 56 concert shirts.
