We know that angle OPA= 90° (Radius is perpendicular to the tangent)
So Triangle OAP is a right angle triangle
By Pythagoras theorem,
AP²= 5² - 3²
AP²= 25 - 9
AP²=16
AP= 4 cm
We need to find the length of the larger chord i.e. AB
AB= 2 * 4 = 8cm
