can I upgrade ram and SSD to my laptop.
my laptop specifications are:
The Asus X201E-KX178D laptop runs on DOS OS and has Intel Celeron 1.5 GHz dual core processor. It has 500 GB HDD and 2 GB DDR3 RAM and has Intel HD Graphics.
My goal is to increase the ram to 4gb or 8gb ram and increase storage capacity like 500gb hdd + 500gb ssd.
is it possible to do it on this laptop.

Hi,

So basically you want to upgrade your ram to 4 or 8 gb right?

But i suggest you dont upgrade it to 8gb because your cpu will become a bottleneck for your computer means that rendering the additional 4gb of ram will be useless its because your cpu is running below the current operating speed that is 2.5ghz , it used to be 2ghz.

And yes you can upgrade your ssd to 500gb but not hdd! But 256 gb ssd is way more than enough unless you have a ton of photos, videos! Ssd will decrease your boot times to like 10-20 from 30-40 ! it usually speed up things like loading time ,accessing files etc. but it wont increase performance in games !

I would suggest you to upgrade your ram to 4gb and get a 256 ssd! This will make your computer faster than it used to be!

Hopefully it helped

THANK YOU!
